Beta v2.0 (Mindustry v8 Compatible)

Beta Release for v8

A new build & branch targeting Mindustry v8 beta, courtesy of @SMOLKEYS . This build is as beta as Mindustry itself, so be warned. Fixed many v8 incompatibility issues, mainly crashing Hijack Turrets and Payload Turrets.

From now on, v8 targeted releases will use the major version 2, starting with this build.

Build v1.11

  • Bugfix release; some bugfixes related to stackoverflow crashing related to units
  • Finally no longer crashes due to other mods (thanks, Anuke!)
  • Updated gradle

Build v1.1

Improvements

  • Fixed several bugs with the new crafter drawing system
  • Fixed some null crashes and bugs related to version updates
  • Now supports release v136 and higher (no longer BE dependent)

Notes

  • There are still several known bugs (to be fixed in the future):
    • Anubanks and hijacker turrets crash the game
    • Capacitors are very buggy

Additions

  • Added 5 new Hijacker Turrets
  • Hijacker turrets use consume ammo and use bullets of linked turrets, and have quirks like additional shots or reload speed
  • They are late-game turrets, addition to campaign is planned

  • Ideology's success rate now depends on unit health
  • Better boost panel effects
  • Spore slimes have special destroy & deconstruct effects
  • Many other small improvements

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a lot of buggy behavior with clear pipes in multiplayer
  • Fixed some status effects crashing in v7
  • Fixed payload deconstructor stackoverflowing with specific other mods
  • Fixed block rain rendering
  • Claws no longer teleport units
  • Claws' shootX/Y now returns tile coordinates
  • Fixed crystal break effect
  • Many other small bugs

Notes

  • This will be the last release supporting v6. Further releases will only be compatible with latest versions of v7.
  • This version needs further testing, and some content may be unfinished and/or unstable.

  • Fixed pyratite spikes having electric properties
  • Fixed claws crashing when trying to grab ground units out of solid blocks
  • Fixed payload deconstructor running infinite recursive functions when other mods make unit cycles (e.g. upgrade A -> B -> C -> A)
  • Fixed block weather crashing in v7
  • Fixed clear pipes connecting to pipes of other teams

Improvements

  • Added temporary v7 compatibility for animated items (might be laggy)
  • Added destroySound & breakEffect for crystals [v7]

  • Fixed BlockFilterValue in database crashing in 7.0
  • BM now runs on ~~25 million devices~~ even more devices that it has previously been unsupported on (contributed by @Anuken)

Beta v0.5

  • Payload cannon has been added.
  • Credit to VozDuh for providing the sprites, which I resprited a little.
  • It still has some missing features, like making blocks with explosives explode more violently, and that kind of stuff.
  • Known bug: payload must be provided by a payload conveyor and not directly.
